How it is scored

One scale, four bands.

Every question is answered on the same scale, from a spreadsheet to a live link. The scale measures connection, not competence: a well-run process that talks to nothing scores a two.

  1. 1FragmentedSpreadsheets, email threads or someone's head. No shared system of record.
  2. 2Managed but siloedA proper process or system, but it references nothing outside itself.
  3. 3Partially connectedLinked to one or two adjacent areas, but the links are manual.
  4. 4Connected and liveLinked automatically to related decisions. The full picture is visible in real time.
