The AlignX Intelligence Framework

AI with context. Decisions with confidence.

The AlignX AI Framework guides how artificial intelligence is designed, governed, used and evolved across AlignX.

The framework

AlignX Intelligence

AI is most valuable when it works with real context. By connecting your information and the relationships between it, AlignX AI can find what matters, make sense of complicated situations, weigh up decisions and carry out work it has been authorised to do.

Every capability is governed continuously, judged in its own context, and backed by layered safeguards. Governance runs the whole way through, and what actually happens becomes the evidence for what changes next.

The purpose of AlignX AI is not to maximise automation. It is to bring the right intelligence, context and authority to the decisions that matter.

01 · Principles

What we believe about AI.

  • Human agency

People can question, override, stop and reverse what AI does.

  • Accountability

Every capability has a named owner, and every action can be traced.

  • Transparency

People know when AI is involved, what it relied on, and how to challenge it.

  • Validity

AI is fit for its stated purpose, measured before and after release.

  • Safety

AI avoids causing harm and fails safe when uncertain.

  • Security

AI is secure by design and built on the assumption that it can be manipulated.

  • Privacy

Data is used only for disclosed purposes, minimised, and isolated between customers.

  • Fairness

AI performs equitably and is accessible to everyone who uses it.

  • Helpfulness

Unhelpfulness is not automatically safe. Unnecessary refusal is a defect.

02 · The AlignX Intelligence Model

Five ways AI can work with your organisation.

AI helps you.

It finds what exists, explains what it means, summarises what matters and prepares the work you would otherwise write yourself.

FindExplainSummariseDraft

These are not levels. They overlap, and one piece of work often uses several.

03 · How AlignX governs AI

Every AI capability is continuously governed through four connected functions.

Governance encloses the other three.

Govern

Set accountability, policy and boundaries.

Map

Understand purpose, context and risk.

Measure

Evaluate performance, safety and behaviour.

Manage

Control, improve and respond.

04 · The lifecycle

Nothing is ever finished.

Every capability moves through the same six gates, and keeps moving. What we learn running one changes how we design the next.

DesignBuildValidateDeployMonitorRetire
  1. DesignPurpose, class and ceiling are set
  2. BuildAgainst the specification, not a prompt
  3. ValidateThe evaluation set, under repetition
  4. DeployAt Recommend, into one tenant
  5. MonitorBehaviour, evidence and incidents
  6. RetireOr step the authority back down

05 · Safety principles

Four promises, and what each one rests on.

Safety starts before AI is deployed.

We build controls, safeguards and risk management into AI from the beginning, rather than treating safety as something added later.

Nothing is released or changed without its evaluation set passing under repetition.

06 · Safeguards

No single safeguard can address every risk.

AlignX uses multiple layers of protection to keep AI inside its intended purpose, permissions and boundaries. If one layer is bypassed, the layers behind it are still in place.

PreventDetectControlRecoverLearn

PreventStop inappropriate actions before they happen.

The AlignX Intelligence Framework is informed by established responsible AI practices and standards.

AlignX AI capabilities are released progressively. Every one is governed by this framework before it reaches a tenant, and the authority it holds is set by the organisation that runs it.

Intelligence you can put to work.

AlignX brings AI into the context of your organisation — helping people understand more, make better-informed decisions and move work forward.
