Microsoft platform foundation

Built on Microsoft Power Platform.
Native to your Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

AlignX is not a third-party tool that talks to Microsoft. It is a Microsoft-native application that extends the platform your organisation already governs, trusts and pays for. AlignX operates within your Microsoft security, identity and compliance boundary from day one.

Why this matters

Extend what you already have, not evaluate another vendor.

Every other enterprise alignment, EA, portfolio and GRC platform is a standalone SaaS application. Each requires its own procurement, its own security assessment, its own data residency evaluation and its own integration effort. For Microsoft 365 enterprise organisations, AlignX changes the conversation from “evaluate a new vendor” to “extend what you already have”.

Familiar governance boundary

AlignX operates within your Microsoft tenant, under the same identity, access and data sovereignty controls established by your IT and security teams.

Reduced adoption friction

No new infrastructure to procure, no new vendor security assessment, no new data residency questions. AlignX is an extension of the Microsoft estate.

Native data integration

Dataverse as the underlying data model means AlignX connects directly to Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure and the broader Power Platform ecosystem without custom middleware.

Microsoft AppSource distribution

AlignX is pursuing Microsoft AppSource listing, so procurement teams, IT leaders and Microsoft account teams will be able to find, evaluate and acquire AlignX through a channel they already use.

What it means in practice

A Microsoft application, not a connected one.

AlignX’s data model is Dataverse. AlignX’s automation layer uses Power Automate. AlignX’s embedded analytics use Power BI. AlignX’s access and identity management operates through Microsoft Entra. AlignX’s information governance and compliance integration uses Microsoft Purview. This means AlignX is not a standalone application that connects to Microsoft. It is a Microsoft application that provides the enterprise alignment and decision intelligence layer above the broader Microsoft estate.

The Microsoft service stack

Every Microsoft service AlignX is native to.

Microsoft Entra

Identity foundation

Identity, access governance and role-based permissions managed natively through Entra. Every decision, approval and governance action in AlignX is attributed to a verified, auditable identity. Conditional access policies govern who can view, create or approve decisions.

Microsoft Purview (Information Governance)

Native data classification

Decision records, governance artefacts and sensitive enterprise model content are subject to Purview information protection policies. Data classification, sensitivity labels, retention and eDiscovery apply to AlignX content as they do to all Microsoft 365 content.

Microsoft Purview (Compliance)

Compliance mapping

AlignX compliance obligations in the GRC domain are mapped against Purview’s compliance framework catalogue: PSPF, ISM, ISO 27001, NIST and sector-specific frameworks.

Dataverse

Native data model

All decision objects, relationships and enterprise model artefacts are held as Dataverse tables, enabling native integration with other Power Platform applications, Dynamics 365 and the full Microsoft data ecosystem.

Power Automate

Native automation layer

Governance workflows, approval chains, notification flows, alignment drift alerts and integration with external operational systems run through Power Automate. Configurable by Power Platform administrators with no custom integration development.

Power BI

Native reporting layer

AlignX reporting and dashboards are delivered through Power BI, connected to the live Dataverse model. Decision-makers who already use Power BI access AlignX reporting in a familiar environment.

Microsoft Teams

Governance in flow

Decision approval notifications, governance alerts and execution drift warnings surface in Teams as actionable messages. Decision context can be reviewed and approved directly within Teams.

Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Exchange)

Document and context

AlignX can reference and contextualise documents held in SharePoint as supporting evidence for decisions and approvals. Email threads in Exchange can be referenced as decision context.

Azure DevOps and GitHub

Delivery context

Programme and project delivery data is surfaced in AlignX as investment and requirements context, connecting what is being built to the strategic decisions that authorised the work.

Microsoft Sentinel and Defender

Risk context

Security events and risk indicators can be surfaced in AlignX’s GRC domain as live risk context, connecting operational security posture to the architectural and governance decisions that create or mitigate risk.

AlignX AI

AlignX AI within the Microsoft AI ecosystem.

Grounded in Dataverse

AlignX AI operates on the connected enterprise model held in Dataverse, the same data platform that underpins Microsoft’s own AI features in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.

Purview-governed AI outputs

AlignX AI responses and generated decision context are subject to the same information protection policies as all other AlignX content, governed by Purview.

Copilot compatible

As Microsoft extends Copilot across the Power Platform ecosystem, AlignX is positioned to surface its connected enterprise model as context for Copilot-driven interactions.

One platform. Native to yours.
